Retirement Planning Sessions for State Members
These group sessions are for those who are eligible and intend to retire within the next year. Topics covered in these sessions include how each benefit payment option works and how benefits are paid. Following the group informational session, members may meet individually with System staff for assistance with completing their retirement application paperwork.
Sessions tend to fill up quickly. You need to pre-register and either have received a retirement estimate, or have requested one, within the past year. You may request an estimate by contacting the State Unit at [email protected] or by calling 1-800-451-9800. You may bring a guest to the session if you wish–just let us know when you register if someone will be joining you.
PLEASE NOTE: Only online sessions are currently being offered, each hosted through the ZOOM program. Information about accessing these sessions will be sent to you after registration. Online sessions do not have individual meetings or paperwork assistance at this time, but you may contact our office for additional assistance as needed.
Please note: The State Employee Health & Benefits office has requested that we remind members that if you have the need to visit them after a MainePERS session, appointments need to be made in advance to ensure meeting space is available.
