MainePERS is pleased to invite our members and retirees to register for the new online Member Portal!  Information about the portal, what it offers, and how to register is available at Member Portal webpage.  Already registered? Then you may access the Member Portal Login at the top of the MainePERS website. 

Portal Features
While participation in the portal is optional, registering provides you with secure and convenient access to your MainePERS account information, including member statements, tax documentation, and beneficiary and group life insurance selections. You may also update your contact information through the portal. A complete list of portal features and frequently asked questions can be found on the Member Portal webpage.

A Word About Security
Providing you with secure access to your information is important to MainePERS, so multifactor authentication (MFA) is required for user registration and login. As part of that authentication process, access to a cellular or land-line telephone and/or email address is required to receive a unique verification code you will need to enter for a successful authentication and secure log in to the portal.

A large majority of members and retirees have asked for this service in member satisfaction surveys. MainePERS is excited now to offer this new service.

MainePERS has revised its public business hours to Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for reaching Member Services Representatives by telephone and in person lobby services.  This adjustment of our hours will allow our staff the opportunity on Fridays to focus on responding to pending member, retiree, and beneficiary requests in a more timely manner.   

Contacting MainePERS via email remains an option through our MainePERS Directory and we continue to offer a secure email system via Zixmail for sending communications that include sensitive information. The new MainePERS Member Portal is also a resource for accessing information.

For those who prefer to use the postal service, documents or forms may be mailed to MainePERS, P.O. Box 349, Augusta, ME 04332-0349. A secure drop box is also available at our lobby entrance to drop off any completed forms or other documents.
