MainePERS has sent letters to more than
10,000 members and retirees asking to verify Social Security
Numbers and dates of birth for their beneficiaries. Having this
information on file will make it easier to locate members'
beneficiaries should that ever be necessary. The letter includes
a pre-paid, return envelope. We appreciate members’ cooperation
in returning these forms promptly.
